Square Hospital director Mirza Nazim dies from corona

Live Correspondent: Dr Mirza Nazim Uddin, director (medical services) and a senior consultant of Square Hospital in the capital, has died from coronavirus at the age of 67.

He breathed his last around 3:30pm while undergoing treatment at the hospital on Sunday, said Ehteshamul Huq Choudhury, Secretary General Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA).

He said Nazim had been receiving treatment at Square Hospital for the last two weeks as he tested positive for coronavirus.

Nazim left behind his wife Dr Khaleda Yesmin, two sons, a daughter and many relatives to mourn his death.

An ex-student of Dhaka Medical College, Dr Nazim was working at Square Hospital as a director of ICU alongside a senior consultant (medicine) at the hospital.
